The statement said the General Secretary welcomes the agreement between former president Kurmanbek Bakiyev and the interim government of Kyrgyzstan, which gave him the opportunity to leave the country.
It added that the UN is ready, together with regional and international partners, to work with the Bishkek leadership for the benefit of the people of Kyrgyzstan.
